Mindful Expressions: Joy

Inspired by Buddhist Sympathetic Joy (mudita), we will use different arts and play to explore how we can bring more joy, playfulness, and lightness into our lives and the world. No art or meditation experience required!

In these times, we could all use some mindfulness! Whether you hope to reduce stress, have more creativity and play, or dip your toes in Buddhist inspired practices, you are welcome here!

Using low-pressure expressive arts activities, this workshop series explores ways we can use mindfulness in our modern, day-to-day lives. Each workshop is inspired by one of the Buddhist “sublime states”:

Self-love: Love or Loving-kindness (metta)

Compassion: Compassion (karuna)

Joy: Sympathetic Joy (mudita)

Calm: Equanimity (upekkha)

No art or meditation experience required! All faith traditions, genders, sexualities, abilities, ages, etc. welcome! Register here.
