Art of Masculine

This 8-week Expressive Arts Therapy group is for men (cisgender and transgender) who hope to deconstruct toxic masculinity, creating new ways of embodying masculine. We gather together every week to share space in creativity and conversation, opening ourselves up to challenge the standards of masculinity and femininity. We will step into the digital space with curiosity, to explore vulnerability through expressive arts therapy and candid discussions. With so many places going into lockdown, we wanted to offer a brave space to do inner work that can be so lonely, welcoming true growth into our lives.
🌱
Expressive arts therapy is a way of using the arts (visual, writing, drama, dance, music, and more) to bring out strengths and change how we relate to ourselves and our lives. No art experience required!
🎨🎭🕺✍️🎶
Participants will be asked to sign informed consent forms, ensuring the space is confidential unless there is harm caused to self or others, which we have to report. This is a CREATE Institute student placement run by Anto Chan & Jasper Bryan. They are not registered psychotherapists.
🌺
This group is Pay What You Can (PWYC). Suggested amount for the 8-week group is $88. You will be given the opportunity to pay based on your discretion and financial means at the completion of the group. Nobody is turned away for lack of funds.
